Comparing it to other public golf courses, it offers above-average golfing experience. You will notice that it has a wide layout that feels more like a golf course than the others. Its variety of bushes, shrubs, flowers, and majestic oak trees are comparable to those present in a PGA-tour quality or championship course. In short, if you are looking for a good spot with a gently rolling terrain to simulate a play in a tournament, this is the one.

Extras

In terms of what else you will enjoy upon visiting this green land in Biscayne Boulevard, you will mostly find it all here. There is a PROshop with friendly staffs. There is a restaurant that overlooks the course serving great-tasting foods. For those in practice mode, there is a practice putting green, a chipping green and a driving range. And the bar is perfect for cold beer after a few rounds.

Obligations

Like any other golf courses near the area, the rates are offered on a per person basis, which already includes a cart and green fees. They rate is currently set at $99 for the period of December 22, 2012 through April 15, 2013.

Country Club of Miami's East and West Golf Courses

Florida is home to PGA tour-quality golf courses, and among the proofs are Country Club of Miami’s east and west golf courses. If you plan to conquer 36 holes of breathtaking golfing experience in Miami, Country Club of Miami is one of the places I recommend.

This well-maintained golf destination was established in 1961 by the profound green architect Robert Trent Jones. The design boasts two beautifully manicured golf courses with 36 championship holes. This is where Lee Travino won his 4th professional, not to mention the West Course has been the site for the former National Airlines Open.

Expect unfaithful bunkers, verdant fairways, and rolling greens when taking the par-72 course that hosted the 1991 Senior PGA Tour National Qualifying School, the West Course, while the par-70 layout with a slope of 124 in East Course would require shot placement and tactic from both the novice and serious golfers. Conquering both just means total fun and excitement.

The club can host a corporate outing with its spacious restaurant able to accommodate up to 300 guests. There is an attractive bar that will surely help you relax after a very challenging encounter in the courses. And if you are someone looking for ways to improve your golf play, The Whole Game Golf School is available in The Country Club of Miami, attended by the experience golf trainer himself, Larry Levow.

Obligations

There are different rates offered by the club. But if you are paying a visit during weekdays, the East Course is offered at only $45, while the West Course is offered at a slightly lower rate at $40. Both include a cart. If you are up to practice your drive, the driving range at the east is only $3.65 for a small bucket with 30 balls. If that’s not enough, you opt for the large bucket with 60 balls for only $7.

There is one golfing space in Miami where you could experience the look-and-feel of the year 1958, the Greynolds Park golf course. I did not say that as a bad thing though as most of its patrons love it and usually come by the course to see the ancient carts and the smell of the fancy old guy in its club house. Nevertheless, their course is the one challenge you will ever need.

1964 is the year Greynolds Park golf course was built. Mark Mahannah put forward an amazing effort to designing the challenges in this par-36 course, making it one of the county’s most known 9-hole architecture for all levels of play today.

Greynolds Park course is located at 17530 W Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL. It is accessible by Northeast 24th Avenue and Miami Gardens, aside from taking the West Dixie Highway. The course is offered at $13 per player. That’s a very affordable rate for anyone not to try to have fun sinking holes. And on certain time slots, especially within 2:00pm to 4:00pm, the price drops to $9 per player after the 31% discount. That’s a great saving for someone who is only available to play at around 3:00pm.

There is another convenient location in Miami where you could spend a relaxing day and enjoy a tee time at the same time. The place is just minutes away from Sun Life Stadium, Shula’s Hotel and Golf Club. In fact, they are one of the best places to visit near the mentioned stadium.

While they are recognized as the destination for business and leisure, their 18-hole Senator golf course is constantly earning a spot in each of the golfers’ hearts who have come to learn their offerings. The senator course was built in 1964 with Architect Bill Watts. Its fairway grass is a Bermuda 419, and the green is TifEagle.

You start with the fairly easy greens until such time you will find yourself facing hazards, starting from the middle of the front side. Then it gets even more exciting as you get to the 11th green where you will be greeted with a thrill only your skill can match up, and as you move forward you will need to conquer holes surround by water.

The senator course comes with amenities that help you feel comfortable. There is a beverage cart, carts, cocktail lounge, clubhouse, club rentals, free range balls, lessons, lockers, practice facilities, PROshop, restaurant, restrooms on course, shoe rentals and shower. If you need quick assistance in the course, there is a handheld Skycaddie available for rent at $10 per round.  

Obligations

The prices for using the Shula’s course vary, but it is usually from $28 to $62 per person, per round. They also have the 5 nights in hotel, 5 rounds of golf special from $982 to $1190. There is also the 2 nights, 2 rounds as an alternative from $195 to $315. In the course, you will be required to wear softspikes, and you should be in your proper golf attire.
