Flamingo Lakes Golf & Country Club Golf Course @ www.flamingolakescc.com |
Love flamingos? I do, too! But we are not going to talk about a winged animal with long legs, but a great venue for golfers to putt and drive golf balls named Flamingo Lakes Golf & Country Club. Do patrons love this place because their sweet name sticks or because of the challenge they can bring? We are about to find it out.
Authority
Flamingo Lakes has been providing quality golf course conditions at a practicable price since 1985. What they have is a challenging par 71 field located in just one half mile east of I-75 at century village® in Pembroke Pines. It’s a semi-private property which might be Broward’s best kept secret.
Where to find them
Flamingo Lakes Golf & Country Club is located at 701 Flamingo West Dr. Pembroke Pines, Broward County, FL 33027. If you have been to the Pembroke Lakes Mall, it is not far from that location. You can call their staff at (954)-435-6109 or even talk to Golf Director/Superintendent William Entwistle for turn by turn direction from your entry point.
Golf thrills
If you thought this would be another country club with a traditional 18-hole regulation length course, think again. People in Pembroke Pines wouldn’t consider this a best kept secret for nothing. In fact, patrons found Flamingo Lakes to have the toughest 5900 yard course around. To account the exact figures, here’s an offer of 71 par in a 5,854 yard field featuring 125 slopes worth of challenges to put a test on all skill levels.
Extras
The club is part of the greatest retirement community in Florida – Century Village, which only means it carries all the extra features the Village has. And of course, a driving range and a Pro are available to help you practice and knock the balls the right way. There is also a PRO shop for those who consider buying golf items on the spot.
Obligations
There is no dress code to follow when you visit and the guest policy is open. You can reserve tee times via phone. Their rate as of this writing is in between $16 to $30. Their weekend rate is a bit higher compared to the weekdays except on twilight special where the price is the same at $16 for the 9-hole play. Resident of Century Village also enjoys a $23 special regardless of the day and time.
