In 1937, Willian S. Flynn and Howard Toomy were the first to realize the look and feel of the course, but at around 19 years after, Mark Manahah was hired to redesign it. Fast-forward to 2008, the City of Miami Beach decided for another renovation, in which case the renowned architect Arthur Hills was hired and transformed the course into a spectacular venue for golfers.
