As a golfer, playing on a golf course where the masters have made history is quite gratifying. Fortunately, if you live in South Florida, you don’t have to go to that far to find a place like it. Miami Springs Golf and Country Club is a premiere adorable public course that carries the memoir.

Authority

The home of the original Miami Open is a historic course where legends like Gene Sarazen and Sam Snead founded their golf legacies. The layout was designed by Thomas 'Tubby' Martin, and it opened to the public in 1923 with Mike Aldridge as the manager.

Where to find them

This locals’ favorite course is located at 650 Curtiss Pkwy Miami Springs, FL 33166. Navigating to its exact location in South Florida is not really that hard if you already know the way to the Miami International Airport. Bur of course, their customer support is very much available to help navigate to the area. You can contact them at (305) 805-5180 for more info.

Golf thrills

The 18-hole Miami Springs course is a 6741 yard of golf with a slope rating of 127. This 72.5 rated course comes in great shape with soft bunkers and agreeable greens. While there are a few holes with water to keep you challenged, what will serve as a diversion is the airplanes that fly around it since it’s near the airport.

Extras

Like any other golf courses in Florida, this one also features a PROshop and a driving range. But beyond golf, the location is also open to accommodate special events, like weddings and corporate meetings. So just imagine planning a meeting in this location and golf afterwards. That’s business and fun in one premiere location. Above all, they’re open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner and cocktails.

Obligations

There are different rates for non-resident and resident as well as for the weekend and weekday schedules. To start with, non-resident gets to pay $44, while a resident pays $25 (tax included on both) on weekday schedule. On weekend, non-resident can use the place for $54, while $48 for the resident (tax included on both). So it basically gives you a little advantage if you are a resident.
