Another spot that is thought to, also, claim the best golfing facility in South Florida is The Club at Emerald Hills. But do they really have what it takes to be what they claim to be? Well, we are about to find out. Let’s see if their authority, location, thrills and features live up to their claim.

Authority

To start with, The Club at Emerald Hills has been part of “Golf Digest Places to Play” publication for the past 12 years. The spot has been the host of different golf qualifying rounds, including the Doral and Honda Open Qualifiers. It has also been one of the host sites for the different US qualifiers, including the US Open, Sr. Open, Amateur, Mid-Amateur and Public Links.

The club started with the name Emerald Hills Country Club in 1969 and was later renamed to The Club at Emerald Hills in 1989. The former design was by Bruce Devlin & Robert Von Hagge. The latter design was by Charles Ankrom.

Where to find them

Finding the club is not really that difficult as locals very well recognized them. They are exactly located at 4100 N Hills Drive Hollywood, FL 33021. It is a location which is very close to both the Topeekeegee Yugne Park on one side and Oak Lake Park on the other side. From Stirling Rd, turn right to N 46th Avenue. Then, turn left on 1st traffic light to N Hills Drive. Check on your right as you drive through for the Clubhouse.  If you are coming from a different direction, you may ring their Clubhouse phone at (954) 961-4000 for turn by turn directions.

Golf thrills

The Club at Emerald Hills would not be recognized as “One of the Nations’ Top Golf Clubs” and rated “Excellent” in "America's Top Golf Courses" by ESPN and Zagat Survey for nothing. Players enjoy, indeed, their rolling parkland terrain course style. It is a course that will surely make your day as a golfer. It is always in best condition, and water comes into play on 12 holes.

Extras

There are a couple of extras that make the club even more recommendable. There are meeting rooms for all types of functions. There is an elegant restaurant ready to pamper exhausted guests with delicious dishes. There is a driving range for the warm-ups and practices as well as a Pro Shop for necessary golf items. They are open for wedding celebrations and other special events, in case you want to throw a golf-related party.
